My Story With Cleo

When I brought Cleo home, I thought life would be soft cuddles and quiet naps. She’s a fluffy Persian, so how hard could it be?

Well, the first year nearly drove me crazy. She refused to use her litter box. She sprayed in the hallway and on the rug.

She even peed in my laundry basket. I felt like I was cleaning all day, every day.

I tried store bought sprays, extra litter boxes, scolding, ignoring, moving her food bowls. Nothing worked for long.

I started to wonder if maybe she was just “one of those cats” who would never be trained. But deep down I didn’t want to give up on her.
